Exploring the translation–development interactions from an emergent semiotic perspective

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater or GBA), a megalopolis in China, has developed rapidly and achieved remarkable results recent years. This study aims to explore the translation–development interactions GBA from an emergent semiotic perspective. Following studies on translation development (Marais, 2014, 2018; Olivier de Sarden, 2005), this views as process of making meaning under specific affordances constraints, while translations could be regarded meaningful intercultural mediations adaptations that help transcend language barriers support regional development. Through exploring different practices education, economics media, analyses how plays mediating role multiple respects.
